A Visit to HR (TECH) TRÆF

September Agency has been on the move again, this time visiting this year’s "Træfpunkt HR 2025" in Øksnehallen. As always, we spent the day catching up with industry connections and getting a pulse on the HR trends of 2025.

If the trade fair is a snapshot of HR as a discipline, it is clear that HR professionals have their hands full—managing everything from bike-to-work schemes and compliance to selecting the wine for the social club.

However, one thing stood out clearly this year: the massive presence of tech companies.

This raises an interesting question: Is HR evolving into a tech discipline? A field where one juggles digital solutions for everything from testing, onboarding, and internal events to AI, GDPR, and data management?

And if so, do we risk the focus shifting from people to systems? From "warm hands" to "cold processes"?

We might be jumping to conclusions here, but we would at least like to remind everyone of one thing:

HR starts and ends with people. Technology can support the process, but it can never replace the significance of the human connection.
